It is great you are eager to pick up open shifts and get to work!

Be sure to keep your notifications on and regularly check your app for the most up to date postings. In addition, when you are working a shift don’t be shy about going above and beyond so employers will want request you specifically in the future. Employers can invite specific workers to jobs before offering them to anyone else, so make a great impression!

If you receive a notification for an offer that is no longer available in your app, it was likely picked up by another Gravy Worker.

Payroll Process

You are paid an hourly rate. Pay rates vary based on the role and hour rates range from $13/hour to $35/hour. You will see the hourly rate for each job listed in the app.

All Full GravyWorkers are classified as W2 workers. As a W2 worker you receive net pay. All applicable taxes (Federal, State, and local) are automatically deducted from your gross pay. To access your paystubs go to 'More' then select 'View Pay stubs' and login into Paylocity.

Payment is issued weekly on Fridays.

Setting up direct deposit is recommended. To ensure you receive payment on time, please have the following information match with the bank information provided by your bank institution:

Name
Bank account number (not the 16 digit number on the card)
A valid ACH routing number
Type is a 'Checking' account only
Social Security Number
Federal holidays may sometimes delay your payment due to bank closures. Please take a look ahead to see when your payment will be affected: Federal bank holidays

How to view your pay:

From the GravyWork 2.0 app:

Click the Profile button from the bottom menu.
Click Payments from the top menu. Here you will be able to see all payments you have earned for completed jobs, on a month-by-month basis.
You can click the download icon below “Last Jobs Paid” for a PDF summary of your earnings statement.
To update your payment information, click “Edit Payment Details” near the top of the

How to Pick up Shifts/Jobs

How to claim a job in the GravyWork app:

Click Jobs from the bottom menu.
Click Open Jobs to view all available jobs matching your current skills.
Review the list to find the job you would like to work.
Click the Claim Job button for the applicable job.
Review all the details about the job, including the location, dates, times, uniform, and description.
Click the Claim Job button. The job will then appear in your My Jobs tab.

Things to Remember

Every single shift, at the beginning and end you must clock in/out
Clocking in/out begins when you are on site and just about to start working, not sitting in your car on site, etc.
Clocking out begins after you have checked with your superior and are officially good to leave. (Note: Job end times are approximations, you must still first check with your supervisor before clocking out)
Make sure to accurately represent your hours, because dishonestly inputting hours is terms for account deactivation.

How do I drop a shift?

The app will allow you to drop a job on the app the same way you claimed a position. It is up to you to follow the time frames before penalizing occurs. We advise to drop a job 3 days in advance to find a replacement for your slot. Dropping same day jobs will result in suspension or deactivation.

Applying to Gravy Work

Process to become a Gravy Worker:

Fill out the interest form at gravywork.com/apply/.
Your form will be reviewed within 24 - 48 hours.
If approved, you will receive an email with your interview date.
Upon the completion of your phone interview you will need to pass background check.
Complete your payroll paperwork through Paylocity.

All applicants must:

Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Be 18 years old.
Pass a background check.
Own a smartphone device with an active data plan.

Do I need experience to apply?

Depending on the position you are applying for, you may need:

At least one year of relevant experience
To pass a skill assessment
At least two professional references with contact information
A Valid drivers license
Experience Driving larger vehicles
Warehouse licensing or certifications

If you have the right skills, we will make a conditional offer pending the the background check, which can take 1 to 10 days. Once the background check comes back as clear, the final step is to enroll in our payroll system. This doesn’t take long to complete but does require that you complete some payroll documents electronically. Once complete, you are all set to apply and work a job.

Editing a Posted Job

**If you find that you made a mistake after posting your job or need to change some details, follow this step by step guide on how to edit an already posted job! **

To edit the information on an already posted job, Start at the home page by clicking on the “My Jobs” tab, followed by selecting the “Current Jobs” Option.

Locate the job you want to edit, and click on the button with three gray dots in the far right side of the listed job to select, “View Job”.

At the top left of the screen select the, “Job Details” button.

Each section of the job details tab can be edited by clicking on the pencil icon.

After making any necessary editing, you can save your edits by clicking on the green, “save” button. Or you can discard any changes made by clicking the gray X button.
